Britney Spears already has a popular perfume line, but sales might skyrocket if her newest scent makes it into stores: a fragrance called ‘Mo that carries the tantalizing tagline “One spray and the gays will run your way!”
Willey explained that the tone of the awards show is “very playful, irreverent, doesn’t take it too seriously.” When they decided to give their Always Next, Forever Now award to Spears, Willey approached the singer’s label and management with the idea for the faux perfume ad.

“She’s having fun with her gay audience, because she’s an official gay icon at such a young and tender age,” said Christopher Willey, a Logo executive producer. (Logo and MTV are both owned by Viacom.) Spears’ people loved the idea, although Willey did have to explain the meaning of ‘Mo, which is a term of endearment within the gay community. “Britney herself wanted to make sure that the punch line — which is the word ‘Mo — wasn’t offensive in any way,” Willey said.

Logo shot Britney’s “One spray and the gays will run your way!” line on the Los Angeles set of her video for “If U Seek Amy” and filled in the rest with footage from music videos and a documentary. The package will open the NewNowNext show as an imaginarymessage from the program’s sponsor. The second annual awards show airs June 13 at 9 p.m. ET and will feature appearances by Lady Gaga, Vanessa Williams, castmembers from “The Real Housewives of New York City” and a musical performance by Eve. And, of course, Spears will be on hand to accept her award.

“She has this natural rapport with the gay community,” Willey said. “I think she just really likes her gay fans and she sees this as a way to talk directly to them, which she hasn’t really done before.”

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge has ordered Britney Spears’ former manager Sam Lutfi to stay away from the singer for three years.
The ruling comes after hearing weeks of testimony from Lutfi and Eardley, as they defended their actions and insisted they did not pose threats to the singer. Lawyers for the two men will appeal the restraining orders, claiming they did not prove Spears suffered substantial emotional distress as a result of their actions.
Although Jamie Spears alleged that he — and attorney Jon Eardley — had tried to undermine a court-ordered conservatorship that granted him control over her personal and financial affairs, Lutfi’s attorney contended that he had never threatened the safety of Spears, 27, and the petition didn’t meet the standards for issuing a restraining order.

Testimony from Jamie Spears, along with Britney’s security staff and a hairdresser, contributed to the judge’s decision. The hairdresser testified that Britney Spears told her she was scared of Lutfi and didn’t want to have anything to do with him. Britney did not appear in court during the hearings, and she remains on her Circus tour despite requests by Lutfi’s and Eardley’s attorneys to testify in the case.
Spears’ court-appointed lawyer, Samuel Ingham, supported issuing the orders during a hearing last week, saying they were in the singer’s “best interests.” Joel Boxer, a lawyer for Spears’ father, Jamie, said the restraining order request was “unusual,” but was necessary to protect the singer from “people who I think are fairly characterized as predators.”

After all the rumors and issues Britney Spears has been facing, she was involuntarily committed to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center psych ward. There she will be rehab for her bizarre behavior. While she was in the rehab, her two sons, Sean and Jayden are under the custody of his ex Kevin Federline.

In the beginning of 2007 Britney was shaving all her hair off and she was also putting herself on rehab for the alcohol problems.
She didn’t manage to stay away from alcohol and drugs though and in October 2007 she lost custody of her sons. In November 2007 Britney released her fifth album, “Blackout”. It ran up to number 2 on Billboard immediately and one of the singles “ Gimme More” was a huge success from the start. This year the star has starred on the TV Show “How I met Your Mother” and she got great reviews. After taking a brief time-out from the spotlight, it appears as though Spears’ career is perhaps in reboot mode.

After appearing on a few television shows and releasing 2007’s Blackout, Spears is hoping to regain some of her past glory. Her next three albums debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, making her the first female artist to have her first four albums debut at number one. In late 2008, her sixth studio album, Circus, also debuted at number one.

The pop star made more than £7.6million last year, but she spent an eye-watering £6.7million over the 11 months to December 31, 2008. But bizarrely, she is now spending more on security and staff, than she is on the care of her two young sons. Spears, who is on a world tour, splashed out nearly £300,000 on her security team and £124,500 on general staff. In contrast the star, who is worth more than £60million in total spent just £118,000 on her young boys.

Spears, 27, spent the bulk of her income last year on legal fees. She spent £2million on fees for 17 different lawyers, prompting concerns that her fortune is being frittered away. More than half of this is being claimed by those taking care of her estate, while a significant chunk was given to ex-husband Kevin Federline to cover his family court costs. The pair had battled for custody of their children as part of a bitter divorce, with Mr. Federline eventually being awarded them in his full care. The couple split in 2007, whereupon Miss Spears descended into a spiral of drug abuse, wild partying and depression - prompting her to lose custody of their children. She cut off her family and was sectioned, while her father Jamie Spears took control of her and her estate in a bid help her stay under control.

Her annual general living expenses are in excess of £90,000, which likely include hefty bills for her diet and exercise regimes. There is no breakdown in the legal documents but sources close to the star have revealed she spends more than £5,000 a month on staying in shape. Miss Spears will arrive in London for the UK leg of her tour next month and her diva-like demands further highlight where her cash goes - last year she spent £700,000 on similar business expenses.

Whoever imagined Jordan Miller, who started a Britney Spears fan site while a high school sophomore in 2004, would one day receive half a million visits a day? And whoever imagined Miller, now a typical college student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, would be threatened with legal action by her father, Jamie Spears? Miller’s world was turned upside-down last fall after he received an angry phone call from the pop star’s father-guardian, accusing him of copyright violations.

In February 2008, after Britney Spears was forced into a treatment program for bipolar disorder, Jamie Spears was awarded conservatorship, giving him the authority to make legal, financial and medical decisions on behalf of his daughter.

Miller posted several blogs begging for Britney to be “freed.” He also posted about a magazine story that suggested Britney’s younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, was expecting her second child. Then his cell phone rang. Miller said Jamie Spears told him, “I am going to destroy your ass.”

“I was really freaking out for a good three or four weeks,” Miller said. “Lately, I’ve been doing my own thing. I just kind of want to keep it going.”

Attorney Clarke Walton, who represents Miller pro bono, has been battling with the Spears legal team, which has threatened to sue for copyright infringements. “The unauthorized use of recordings, images and trademarks constitutes actionable infringement under copyright and trademark law, and also violates Ms. Spears’s rights of publicity and privacy,” said a March 18 letter from Jamie’s lawyer.

Miller and Walton are puzzled that Team Spears would leave other fan sites alone and sic legal hounds on a kid who is simply a huge admirer of the singer. He believes that Jamie Spears is “trying to shut me down” because of his negative comments about the father’s control over his daughter. Miller questioned, for example, why he is being targeted instead of the tabloid that first published the story about daughter Jamie Lynn Spears.

He also defended his comments on the father’s role as conservator. “A conservatorship is for an 85-year-old who can’t take care of themselves, not a 27-year-old mom who is working and making money,” Miller said. “If she really does need a conservator, she should get an independent one.”

Miller suggested, as many gossip magazines have reported, that Britney Spears feels trapped by her father. The two have never had a close relationship. Miller and the celebrity gossip magazines also question whether Jamie Spears is serving as conservator strictly or at least partially to make money.

So, why does Miller care so much that he’s willing to go head-to-head with a man who clearly has tons more money than a college student who works part-time? “I’ve been asking that myself,” Miller said. “I just think she’s a really cool artist; I feel inspired by her. It’s a healthy hobby. It takes a lot of work and dedication, but it’s self-fulfilling.”
Spears’ attorneys allege Miller is profiting from Britney Spears pictures, but Miller and Walton said that is not true. Miller pays $300 a month to keep the site going and receives an average of $100 each month from advertisers.

Walton is not concerned about the legal threats coming from Spears’ camp. He said the letters outlining the infringements have no substance. Photographs used originate from companies that approved their use or from camera-toting fans who submitted them. Miller is not using images or lyrics for a commercial purposes. “If they want to fight, I’d love this fight,” Walton said. “I feel confident we would win on the merits of this case.”

Britney Spears was recently spotted taking stick shift driving lessons so she can wheel around Hollywood in her brand new Porsche Speedster replica. Can’t help but wonder if she was turned on to the car by all the Christian Audigier billboards in L.A. featuring a model posed with a Speedster. A list of Britney Spears’ demands for the hotel where she will be staying during her upcoming eight-show tour at London’s O2 Arena has been leaked to the media. An unidentified employee at the Britain’s Dorcester Hotel has handed over details of her staff requests to CBS News earlier this week.

Here are some of the demands featured on Britney’s alleged list:

· Humidifiers in all areas.

· A selection of the latest magazines.

· A fresh selection of flowers that she will then arrange herself.

· DVDs of her favorite Marilyn Monroe movies.

· Books. Ideally, topical chick lit novels.

· Lighting must be 100 watt bulbs - no low lighting.

· Running routes for nearby Hyde Park. Also, horse-riding opportunities.

· A list of different routes to the venue from the hotel to keep the paparazzi at bay.

Pop star Britney Spears’ first tour of Europe in five years begins in London June 3 and ends in Helsinki July 16.

“The circus starring Britney Spears” tour began March 3 in New Orleans with 39 concerts scheduled in the US and Canada until May 5, to be followed by eight in London between June 3 and 14 and one in Manchester on June 17. Next stops will take the 27-year-old star to Dublin on June 19 and 20, Paris on July 5 and 6, Antwerp on July 9, Copenhagen on July 11, Stockholm on July 13 and Helsinki on July 16, the French organizers Nous Productions said. The organizers said the 50-million-dollar concerts bring together more than 50 artists on stage, including dancers, magicians, clowns and acrobats. Spears, a few years back said to be the world’s most highly paid singer, is gradually getting her career back on track after a torrid period following her 2006 divorce from ex-husband Kevin Federline that culminated in her admission to hospital. A Los Angeles judge on Tuesday ruled her ex-manager Sam Lutfi and the attorney Jon Eardley stay away from the singer and her family for three years. The court had already issued a temporary order against Lutfi and Eardly in January. Lawyers for Spears father Jamie, who controls his daughter’s estate, alleged the two men had caused the singer emotional distress.

Britney Spears’ young sons would apparently be allowed to join her on the European leg of her Circus tour if the singer wishes. OK! magazine reports that the lawyer for Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline has said that his client is “more than happy to help facilitate Britney being able to see the boys on the European leg of the tour”. Mark Vincent Kaplan is quoted as telling the magazine that, although Kevin has custody of three-year-old Sean Preston and Jayden James, two, Britney “should not have to sacrifice visits with her boys while pursuing her career”. Britney will be joined by her two sons, Sean & Jayden, for the European leg of her “Circus” tour in June. Mark Vincent Kaplan, Kevin Federline’s pit bull custody lawyer, said Kevin is “more than happy to help facilitate Britney being able to see the boys on the European leg of the tour.” Kaplan continues to say though Kevin has full custody of the two boys, he realizes that Britney “should not have to sacrifice visits with her boys while pursuing her career.” “Kevin has even been able to make sure that Britney can maintain the boys’ regular schedule, even though she’s on tour.”

Britney Spears has been granted permission from ex-husband Kevin Federline for her two sons to join her when she tours Europe. The pop superstar wrapped up her North American shows in Montreal, Canada on Tuesday night (May 5, 2009) and will head to London in June 2009 to continue her Circus tour. The singer will then spend six weeks touring Europe, but the star will not have to go long without seeing Sean Preston and Jayden James. Mark Vincent Kaplan, insists his client has agreed to help Spears juggle childcare arrangements while on the road outside of America. Spears’ tour concludes in Germany on June 26, 2009.

A 20-year-old man was arrested over the weekend after storming the stage during a Britney Spears concert in Connecticut. Kyle King jumped onto the stage on Saturday night (May 2) during Spears’ performance of her hit song ‘Womanizer’ at the Mohegan Sun Arena and attempted to dance with the pop star, before being dragged off stage by her dancers and security. King was arrested for breach of peace, reports TMZ, and was reportedly ‘uncooperative’ with police, earning him a booking for that, too. He was released Sunday (May 3) after posting $250 bond. King is due to appear in Norwich Superior Court on June 18.Kyle King said he didn’t mean any harm when he jumped on stage with Britney Spears and started dancing in front of the pop star during her weekend concert in Connecticut. “It was a spontaneous thing,” said King, a 20-year-old Valencia Community College student. “My intentions were pure.” Videos of the incident show King walking up on stage during Spears’ performance of “Womanizer.” And, when he’s up close with Spears and her dancers, he busts a move. Spears was clearly startled when she realized King was in front of her. King, who found himself in a blur of lights and sounds, said he heard Spears say, “Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God!” Some male dancers grabbed King, rushed him downstairs and held him. Security guards handcuffed King. He was charged with breach of peace. Since video from the concert hit the Web, King said, he has received threats from Spears fans. King made his own video and posted it on You-Tube to help clear the air. King says he’s not crazy. He wasn’t going to harm or touch Spears. He wasn’t drunk. He was just having a good time. During an interview with the Orlando Sentinel at his Orlando home Tuesday, King said he had great seats — in the VIP section next to the stage. He had joked with a friend — on the phone — and said he was so close he could go up on stage. King knew “Womanizer” was going to be Spears’ last song, since he had been to her Tampa concert. “It was so fast,” he said. “Something flipped in my head.” King wasn’t actually booked into jail. But now he’ll have to go back up to Connecticut for a court appearance a few days before his 21st birthday.
